Casbas's Epifanio Noe got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fernando Mateus took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 36th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Cristian Mitxel. Casbas's Gabriel Etxahun couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Epifanio Noe to make the kick off.
