The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ermegildo Ederono breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ermegildo Ederono showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Primeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Redonda's Gervasio Benitez was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ermegildo Ederono in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Marco Mincho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diego Celio having to interfere. Diego Celio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marco Mincho in the 44th minute. Marco Mincho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Diego Celio made a huge save. If Marco Mincho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Teofilo Fonda was the one to do the kick off. Marco Mincho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Diego Celio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ricardo Primeiros short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got Ermegildo Ederono to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 65 minutes into the match, Redonda's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Mincho came free, but Diego Celio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Mincho struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Diego Celio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guanaco. Rene Laurin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Diego Celio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Cristo Sandalio's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 76thth minute, Ermegildo Ederono skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Osvaldo Fliz during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 78 played minutes Redonda got a freekick which was hit by Osvaldo Fliz. 79 minutes into the match, Redonda's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Mincho came free, but Diego Celio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teofilo Fonda in the 87th minute of play forced Redonda's goalkeeper Diego Celio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristo Sandalio came free with the goalkeeper in the 90th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ermegildo Ederono could save by the left post. Guanaco's Ermegildo Ederono proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Guanaco from getting a goal against them. Rene Laurin charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rene Laurin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Guanaco getting a freekick after 92 minutes play.
