Artemio Cordeal was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Esteban Efraim showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. Artemio Cordeal made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Hernan Lorien sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Esteban Efraim got free with Artemio Cordeal in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Artemio Cordeal made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eriberto Cayo in the 18th minute. In the 23rd match minute, Colon Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Silviano to maneuver through the defense. Aurelio Lonzo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Colon Fc's Artemio Cordeal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teodoro Fernandez in the 32nd minute of play. Colon Fc's Artemio Cordeal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Colon Fc from getting a goal against them. 41 minutes into the match, Colon Fc's goalkeeper Artemio Cordeal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Esteban Efraim. Alfredo Silviano kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After having played for 43 minutes, Eriberto Cayo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Esmeralda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eriberto Cayo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Esteban Efraim scored 2-0 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Artemio Cordeal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guido Gaxan to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teodoro Fernandez in the 57th minute of play forced Colon Fc's goalkeeper Artemio Cordeal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Artemio Cordeal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Teodoro Fernandez went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Artemio Cordeal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esteban Efraim in the 63rd minute of the match. Eriberto Cayo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esteban Efraim in the 67th minute of play forced Colon Fc's goalkeeper Artemio Cordeal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Teodoro Fernandez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Artemio Cordeal. Colon Fc's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teodoro Fernandez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tadeo Llorenc during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 80 minutes into the game, one of Colon Fc:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Alfredo Silviano was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 87 minutes into the match. After 88 played minutes Colon Fc got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Silviano. If Alejo Beliran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Esmeralda booed when Colon Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Silvano Inautzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute, Teodoro Fernandez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Artemio Cordeal was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Silvano Inautzi during the 99th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 99th match minute, Colon Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvano Inautzi to maneuver through the defense. 100 minutes into the match, Esmeralda's Alejo Beliran sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Artemio Cordeal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the referee ended the match the Esmeralda players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
