The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Miramar FC's Jacinto Baumer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 6th minute of the match, managed to save Miramar FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Lobo in the 9th minute of play forced Miramar FC's goalkeeper Jacinto Baumer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 12 played minutes Brinkman got a freekick which was hit by Vicente Cordara. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Orti in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Placido Behe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A hard shot 17 in the game by Hernan Hanni from a close distance when the talented Jacinto Baumer managed to make a qualified save. Miramar FC's players were relieved. Emilio Tallia charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emilio Tallia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 18th match minute, Miramar FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emilio Tallia to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Miramar FC's zone, Vicente Cordara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacinto Baumer came out of the goal and Vicente Cordara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Placido Behe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Orti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomas Manex fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Placido Behe having to interfere. Daniel Orti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Placido Behe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Manex in the 39th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Miramar FC's Jacinto Baumer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dante Rosario in the 52nd minute of play. The supporters of Brinkman booed when Miramar FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emilio Tallia didn't get a good kick on the ball. 53 minutes into the game, one of Miramar FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. With a little luck, Brinkman's Placido Behe got control of the ball when Tomas Manex tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hernan Hanni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Miramar FC's goalkeeper Jacinto Baumer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Tomas Manex had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Tomas Manex managed to get in a good position for a shot. Miramar FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Manex was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Placido Behe breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 87th minute Dante Rosario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto Baumer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Orti in the 91st minute of play forced Brinkman's goalkeeper Placido Behe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 93 minutes into the match, Brinkman's goalkeeper Placido Behe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Emilio Tallia. Miramar FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
