They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anacleto Columbo made a kick off. The audience was convinced that Dalmacio Ihazintu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Osvaldo Vedillo was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. Pastor Baudelio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldo Vedillo having to interfere. Ermegildo Mitxaut kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. In the 69th minute, Anacleto Columbo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Boca Juniors's Silvano Jacindo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anacleto Columbo in the 71st minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Boca Juniors fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 72nd minute. Penalty!
