When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hector Bixintxo made a kick off. Teobaldo Salvino was shown his second yellow card after 52 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The score was 0-4 after a penalty in the 86th minute, where Defensores de Belgrano:s Ruperto Mino tricked Malleo AFC:s Igor Mede with a difficult ball by the left post. After a defensive mix-up in Malleo AFC's zone, Arnulfo Luar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Igor Mede came out of the goal and Arnulfo Luar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Antonio Pelayo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Igor Adrio having to interfere. Defensores de Belgrano's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
