Cristian Frantzes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Segundo Perpinya in the 14th minute of play. Segundo Perpinya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Cristian Frantzes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Candelaria's Domingo Senen got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Barranca's Cristian Frantzes got control of the ball when Domingo Senen tried to sneak it across the goal line. With an all-out effort, Candelaria's Cristian Frantzes threw himself towards the right post 24 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eugenio Urbes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 28th minute, Segundo Perpinya fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Cristian Frantzes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eugenio Urbes, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. The supporters of Candelaria booed when Barranca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Soin didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Segundo Perpinya kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cristian Frantzes. That made the score 1-0 in the 33 minute of play. Benicio Ponce came free in the 40th minute and tried to tip the ball over Ruperto Larra, but to the joy of Candelaria's supporters the ball went over. In the 43rd play minute Honorio Senon came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Cristian Frantzes. 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gregorio Nerio to make the kick off. Candelaria's Domingo Senen got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Candelaria booed when Barranca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Genaro Elorri didn't get a good kick on the ball. Domingo Senen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristian Frantzes having to interfere. Domingo Senen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cristian Frantzes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Segundo Perpinya in the 60th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Segundo Perpinya in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cristian Frantzes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Domingo Senen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cristian Frantzes having to make a save. When Candelaria's Segundo Perpinya in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Barranca's goalie prevented a goal. Cristian Frantzes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domingo Senen in the 79th minute of the match. Segundo Perpinya sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Segundo Perpinya in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristian Frantzes saved Barranca from getting behind. Segundo Perpinya received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Cristian Frantzes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristian Frantzes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Segundo Perpinya, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Frantzes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Segundo Perpinya, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute.
