Spectators: 6950 (Terracing: 5440, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 10) Sanagasta FC's Ambrosio Pinto started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sanagasta FC's goalkeeper Jeronimo Rodriguez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Sanagasta FC booed when C.A.Independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gregorio Txindoki didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Sanagasta FC's Eduardo Escobar tried to score from far away in the 17th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, C.A.Independiente's Clemente Blai got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Eduardo Escobar, 23 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. After having played for 72 minutes, Ambrosio Pinto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sanagasta FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ambrosio Pinto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sanagasta FC's Jeronimo Rodriguez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Godofredo Peio in the 75th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The C.A.Independiente fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sanagasta FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
