Alfonso Indar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teofilo Isias having to interfere. In the 11th minute, Urbano Domenec ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Teofilo Isias was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfonso Indar in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teofilo Isias prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alfonso Indar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isaias Jago charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Isaias Jago the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Club Atle.Carlos Jimenez booed when Santurce was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaias Jago didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gonzalo Cordarryl's late challenge caught a Santurce's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gonzalo Cordarryl helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Santurce booed when Club Atle.Carlos Jimenez was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gonzalo Cordarryl didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Santurce defense, Teofilo Abar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Higinio Restu. The Santurce fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Higinio Restu should have stopped the shot. Teofilo Isias made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Aurelio Jaume sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfonso Indar in the 37th minute of play forced Club Atle.Carlos Jimenez's goalkeeper Teofilo Isias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leopoldo Tadzio kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Alfonso Indar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Teofilo Isias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teofilo Isias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfonso Indar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 45 minutes into the game, Alfonso Indar lined in a short shot 2-1 behind a frustrated Teofilo Isias.

Aurelio Jaume struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Teofilo Isias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santurce. The Santurce fans' excitement grew in the 64th match minute when Santurce's Alfonso Indar looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atle.Carlos Jimenez's zone, Aurelio Jaume stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teofilo Isias came out of the goal and Aurelio Jaume tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Leopoldo Tadzio kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Severiano Florinio thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Teofilo Isias, a very annoying self made goal in the 90th minute which led to 6-1. If Aurelio Jaume had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santurce's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
