The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 minutes, Nicasio Evarado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ñacuñán and the Quehué FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 3rd match minute, Ñacuñán was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicasio Evarado to maneuver through the defense. Tiburcio Rio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Marciano Calixto made a huge save. Ñacuñán's Tiburcio Rio was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 8th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. A collision led to Ñacuñán getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Nicasio Evarado hit a great ball. Tiburcio Rio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Marciano Calixto made a huge save. Marciano Calixto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tiburcio Rio in the 16th minute. Gaspar Leguizamón fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marciano Calixto having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Ñacuñán's Eduardo Abad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruben Ubendu in the 60th minute of play. Matias Rios in the 61stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Eduardo Abad, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Matias Rios received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Eduardo Abad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marciano Calixto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Quehué FC's Roberto Gabrio got his second yellow card of the match in the 74th minute. In the 90th minute Tiburcio Rio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marciano Calixto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Ñacuñán players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
