The tension between the Tareirí and the Belgrano players grew even worse after the yellow card. 78 minutes into the game, one of Tareirí:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After a defensive mix-up in Belgrano's zone, Everardo Ortzi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Prudencio Ariando came out of the goal and Everardo Ortzi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Belgrano had played much better football throughout.
