Spectators: 7274 (Terracing: 5457, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 144) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Silvano Garci kicked off to start the match. Jeronimo Gonsalvo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Dolfo in the 4th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maximiliano Omero during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Oktubre booed when Benavídez was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maximiliano Omero didn't get a good kick on the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Oktubre's goal looked a bit too open when Epifanio Criston came free, but Jeronimo Gonsalvo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes into the game, Benavídez's Hugo Dolfo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jeronimo Gonsalvo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Hugo Dolfo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Herminio Calvet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvano Garci in the 25th minute of play. Jeronimo Gonsalvo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Dolfo, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 28th minute, Benavídez's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Remigio Giraldo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Hugo Dolfo struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Jeronimo Gonsalvo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Benavídez. In the 35th minute Epifanio Criston shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeronimo Gonsalvo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 36 minutes, Roque Botello mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oktubre and the Benavídez players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 38th match minute, Oktubre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ezequiel Raulo to maneuver through the defense. Epifanio Criston might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jeronimo Gonsalvo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Epifanio Criston ran back to his position shaking his head. Hugo Dolfo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Jeronimo Gonsalvo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeronimo Gonsalvo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo Dolfo in the 44th minute of the match. Jeronimo Gonsalvo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Epifanio Criston's shot from short distance in the 45th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Epifanio Criston made a kick off. Epifanio Criston fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jeronimo Gonsalvo having to interfere. In the 56th match minute, Benavídez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonzalo Quintin to maneuver through the defense. Silvio Ferdinand hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Oktubre's Eduardo Gabino couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 58th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Benavídez. Jeronimo Gonsalvo didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 61st minute, which inside left pole to 0-3. Jeronimo Gonsalvo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Epifanio Criston in the 66th minute of play. After 75 played minutes Oktubre got a freekick which was hit by Ezequiel Raulo. If Epifanio Criston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Oktubre's zone, Hugo Dolfo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jeronimo Gonsalvo came out of the goal and Hugo Dolfo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Epifanio Criston had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Oktubre getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Roque Botello hit a great ball. In the 86th minute, Raul Lopez fired a really elegant long shot, but Jeronimo Gonsalvo threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. In the 87th minute, Luis Rico hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Epifanio Criston received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Jeronimo Gonsalvo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, Oktubre's goal looked a bit too open when Epifanio Criston came free, but Jeronimo Gonsalvo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hugo Dolfo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Benavídez played a much better game than Oktubre and deserved their victory. The Oktubre players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
