Tucumán F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernando Eneko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Baldomiro Jaume took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jairo Intxixu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Reynaldo Argi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 14thth minute tested the skills of Baldomiro Jaume when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Cardozos FC's zone, Reynaldo Argi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baldomiro Jaume came out of the goal and Reynaldo Argi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jairo Intxixu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Baldomiro Jaume tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tucumán F.C.'s Jairo Intxixu got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jairo Intxixu to make the kick off. Baldomiro Jaume showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jairo Intxixu in the 84th minute of the match. Tucumán F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Armando Eyague in the 88th minute. 89 minutes into the game, Justino Ubelteso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tucumán F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cardozos FC the free kick. Justino Ubelteso kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Baldomiro Jaume showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jairo Intxixu in the 92nd minute of the match. If Reynaldo Argi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee ended the match the Tucumán F.C. players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
