Camilo Cordarrol's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rosendo Marcones read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. Rosendo Marcones showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alvaro Tadzio in the 8th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Prospero Xabel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sarmiento AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Prospero Xabel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Javier Dei breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Prospero Xabel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Javier Dei was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. The referee showed Domingos Iago the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of tornado booed when Sarmiento AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Domingos Iago didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th match minute, tornado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvaro Tadzio to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Alvaro Tadzio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rosendo Marcones was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. 44 minutes into the match, tornado's goalkeeper Javier Dei had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Clodoveo Sabin. After a defensive mix-up in Sarmiento AFC's zone, Alvaro Tadzio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rosendo Marcones came out of the goal and Alvaro Tadzio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Camilo Cordarrol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alvaro Tadzio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Rosendo Marcones tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cornelio Izotz hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. The Sarmiento AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rosendo Marcones should have stopped the shot. Prospero Xabel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Prospero Xabel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Javier Dei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prospero Xabel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 98th match minute, Sarmiento AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingos Iago to maneuver through the defense. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
