The referee ignored Pico Foot Ball Club's protests and gave Adolfo Eudoxio a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Pico Foot Ball Club getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Adolfo Eudoxio hit a great ball. After 19 minutes, Osvaldo Jenaro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Palo and the Pico Foot Ball Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. Fidel Gutierrez made in the 25th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Anibal Ilixo. In the 27th minute of the match, Tobias Gorosti tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Omar Lawrence saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A collision led to Pico Foot Ball Club getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Edgard Mercurio hit a great ball. Tobias Gorosti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Omar Lawrence tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Florencio Cruz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruperto Demesio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Florencio Cruz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ruperto Demesio in the 36th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 37th minute by Generoso Hunfredo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ruperto Demesio hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Generoso Hunfredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 48 minutes, Tobias Gorosti took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Omar Lawrence to make any attempt to save it.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edgard Mercurio to strike the kick off in the second half. Generoso Hunfredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Tobias Gorosti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Omar Lawrence made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Generoso Hunfredo in the 60th minute of play. When Generoso Hunfredo came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Palo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Generoso Hunfredo couldn't finish the play. In the 68th match minute, Palo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldo Jenaro to maneuver through the defense. In the 70th minute of the match Ceferino Mitxel sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Florencio Cruz skillfully saved the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ismael Tipi during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ismael Tipi hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Palo's Florencio Cruz got control of the ball when Ruperto Demesio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ismael Tipi was shown his second yellow card after 84 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 85 played minutes Palo got a freekick which was hit by Ismael Tipi. In the 86th minute, Ceferino Mitxel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Osvaldo Jenaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had been going on for 97 minutes, Pico Foot Ball Club's Ceferino Mitxel got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Florencio Cruz. Palo were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Pico Foot Ball Club to leave the ground with a draw.
