Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Arnaldo Gabino made the kick off which started today's match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnaldo Gabino in the 6th minute of play forced Chipaté's goalkeeper Federico Laurgain to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes into the match, Ciro Frantzes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Federico Laurgain, 1-0. The supporters of Chipaté booed when Catriló was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ciro Frantzes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aaron Oskarbi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Chipaté's zone, Arnaldo Gabino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Federico Laurgain came out of the goal and Arnaldo Gabino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 21 played minutes Chipaté got a freekick which was hit by Ermegildo Boniel. Federico Laurgain made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Ciro Frantzes sent off a good shot on target. When Catriló's Ubaldo Pereyra in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chipaté's goalie prevented a goal. After 26 minutes, Paulino Gartzen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chipaté and the Catriló players grew even worse after the yellow card. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Generoso Vermudo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ciro Frantzes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Federico Laurgain read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. Paulino Gartzen got his second yellow card in the match during the 54th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 54th match minute, Chipaté was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulino Gartzen to maneuver through the defense. 62 minutes into the game, Isaac Patxi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chipaté's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Catriló the free kick. After 63 played minutes Chipaté got a freekick which was hit by Isaac Patxi. After some careless play in the Chipaté defense, Arnaldo Gabino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Federico Laurgain. The Chipaté fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Federico Laurgain should have stopped the shot. Bernardo Pirmin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Generoso Vermudo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonas Cristofol read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Chipaté's goalkeeper Federico Laurgain, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 92nd minute, Ciro Frantzes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Catriló fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. With his leg Jonas Cristofol managed to avoid a goal in the 95thth minute, when Chipaté's Bernardo Pirmin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.
