Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 1-0 became the score in the 4th minute when Domingos Vincente elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico River Plate's Luis Breogan got a free kick in the 9th minute. Luis Breogan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico River Plate's Manuel Madeo got a free kick in the 16th minute. Honorio Elodio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabio Lapurdi having to interfere. Manuel Sabino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herminio Raymon having to interfere. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Anjullor's goalkeeper Herminio Raymon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Domingos Vincente took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Fabio Lapurdi to make any attempt to save it. Carmelo Urtsua's late challenge caught a Club Atletico River Plate's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carmelo Urtsua helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 36th minute of the game. One of Anjullor:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Club Atletico River Plate:s goal. Herminio Gaskon shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. In the 43rd minute, Honorio Elodio fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Fabio Lapurdi, passed just outside the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atletico River Plate's zone, Honorio Elodio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabio Lapurdi came out of the goal and Honorio Elodio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alvaro Oinatz during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alvaro Oinatz kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Honorio Elodio made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Honorio Elodio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Anjullor's supporters rose to their feet, but Honorio Elodio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabio Lapurdi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Club Atletico River Plate's Fabio Lapurdi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Honorio Elodio in the 76th minute of play. Faustino Cordario charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Faustino Cordario the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Anjullor getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Faustino Cordario hit a great ball. A hard shot by Herminio Gaskon from long distance, 79 minutes into the match, got Herminio Raymon's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luis Breogan in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Herminio Raymon saved Anjullor from getting behind. Fabio Lapurdi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingos Vincente in the 82nd minute of play. When Anjullor's Honorio Elodio in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Atletico River Plate's goalie prevented a goal. Fabio Lapurdi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domingos Vincente in the 87th minute of the match. A collision led to Club Atletico River Plate getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Daniel Jacindo hit a great ball. Club Atletico River Plate's Fabio Lapurdi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Honorio Elodio in the 89th minute of play. If Honorio Elodio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Domingos Vincente came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Anjullor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Domingos Vincente couldn't finish the play. Domingos Vincente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Club Atletico River Plate's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
