In the 5th minute, Alberto Ramos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Reynaldo Thomas was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Reynaldo Lizar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Omar Ramond went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Jeronimo Remicio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Reynaldo Thomas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alberto Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Thomas having to interfere. Jeronimo Remicio took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Reynaldo Thomas. Reynaldo Thomas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Alberto Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rodolfo Koldobika blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Reynaldo Thomas having to make a save. In the 46th minute, Niceto Gombal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Alberto Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Leonides Cedro made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes in the game, Jeronimo Remicio fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Reynaldo Thomas having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jeronimo Remicio got free with Reynaldo Thomas in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jeronimo Remicio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Reynaldo Thomas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Omar Ramond made a precise shot to the right of Reynaldo Lizar. In the 64th minute, Filiberto Odilon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Reynaldo Lizar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonides Cedro, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. If Jeronimo Remicio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Islas Malvinas FC's Jeronimo Remicio got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Papagayos AFC booed when Islas Malvinas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Venancio Furtado didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Omar Ramond in the 81st minute of play forced Islas Malvinas FC's goalkeeper Reynaldo Lizar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Papagayos AFC's goalkeeper Reynaldo Thomas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeronimo Remicio in the 85th minute of play forced Papagayos AFC's goalkeeper Reynaldo Thomas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute of the match Pedro Urtungo shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Reynaldo Thomas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Reynaldo Thomas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeronimo Remicio in the 88th minute of play. After 89 minutes Papagayos AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Pedro Urtungo who took care of the corner kick. Islas Malvinas FC's Filiberto Odilon suffered a concussion after 92 minutes and had to leave the field. Sixto Presebal's late challenge caught a Islas Malvinas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sixto Presebal helped the player get up and apologised. Islas Malvinas FC made a substitution. Rosendo Rik replaced Filiberto Odilon. After 93 played minutes Papagayos AFC got a freekick which was hit by Sixto Presebal. In the 95th minute of the match Rosendo Rik shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Reynaldo Thomas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Alberto Ramos struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Reynaldo Thomas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Islas Malvinas FC. Islas Malvinas FC played a much better game than Papagayos AFC and deserved their victory. The Papagayos AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
