Palomitas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cochuna AFC the free kick. Gilberto Maldonado made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Antonio Garaona sent off a good shot on target. Inocencio Jacindo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafin Abecia having to interfere. Serafin Abecia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arsenio Oliverio, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Serafin Abecia came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Cochuna AFC's Arsenio Oliverio. But to his dismay, Arsenio Oliverio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inocencio Jacindo in the 20th minute of play forced Palomitas FC's goalkeeper Serafin Abecia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Palomitas FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arsenio Oliverio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 31 minutes into the match, Remigio Pio dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gilberto Maldonado, 1-2. In the 35th minute, Antonio Garaona made a precise shot to the right of Gilberto Maldonado. Cochuna AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. The supporters of Cochuna AFC booed when Palomitas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Constantino Caradaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Basilio Santikurtz fell near the penalty area in the 40th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palomitas FC's protests and gave Basilio Santikurtz a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Palomitas FC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Basilio Santikurtz hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Remigio Pio made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Palomitas FC's zone, Inocencio Jacindo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Serafin Abecia came out of the goal and Inocencio Jacindo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Palomitas FC's Serafin Abecia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inocencio Jacindo in the 56th minute of play. If Arsenio Oliverio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Cochuna AFC's Arsenio Oliverio, in the 87th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Cochuna AFC. 88 minutes into the game, one of Palomitas FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Fermin Martino shot the penalty kick right outside the post. After a rather tough play, Cochuna AFC's Inocencio Jacindo got a free kick in the 92nd minute. If Arsenio Oliverio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 98th minute Inocencio Jacindo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Serafin Abecia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Palomitas FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cochuna AFC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
