The referee ignored Roosevelt's protests and gave Gualterio Chaime a yellow card for diving instead. After 5 played minutes Roosevelt got a freekick which was hit by Gualterio Chaime. Bernardo Lia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Godfredo Fanuco's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Silvano Odon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Bernardo Lia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 10 minutes into the match, Aristides Bidun notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of DEPORTIVO MDQ's Enrique Dominic. Enrique Dominic was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Santo Baraquiel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carolo Hodei during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to DEPORTIVO MDQ getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Carolo Hodei hit a great ball. Enrique Dominic made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santo Baraquiel in the 17th minute of play. In the 20th minute Godfredo Fanuco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardo Lia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 21 minutes, Silvano Odon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DEPORTIVO MDQ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvano Odon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Enrique Dominic took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santo Baraquiel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th minute, Cesar Valentine hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aristides Bidun's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Enrique Dominic read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. The DEPORTIVO MDQ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Roosevelt were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aristides Bidun made a kick off. Filiberto Ferrando struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Bernardo Lia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for DEPORTIVO MDQ. With his leg Enrique Dominic managed to avoid a goal in the 57thth minute, when Roosevelt's Santo Baraquiel fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. DEPORTIVO MDQ's Enrique Dominic played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristides Bidun in the 66th minute of play. Gualterio Chaime kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Fernan Rius hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Godfredo Fanuco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bernardo Lia having to make a save. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Roosevelt walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
