Chimborazo's Cornelio Nisio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cosme Mikelar in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anastasio Muc in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cornelio Nisio saved Chimborazo from getting behind. After 53 minutes of play, River Plate's Anastasio Muc made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cornelio Nisio was left in no man's land by his defense there! Teobaldo Edur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celestino Dubardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Cosme Mikelar took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cornelio Nisio. Cornelio Nisio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Chimborazo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anastasio Muc was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
