Mauricio Guter hit a great ball. 8 minutes into the game, Sarmiento's Everardo Paez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Clodoveo Tartalo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Everardo Paez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clodoveo Tartalo having to interfere. Carabelas's Clodoveo Tartalo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florentino Hartz in the 14th minute of play. After 18 played minutes Carabelas got a freekick which was hit by Dalmacio Hernandez. Florentino Hartz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clodoveo Tartalo having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Everardo Paez put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Clodoveo Tartalo. Florentino Hartz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Clodoveo Tartalo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clodoveo Tartalo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Everardo Paez in the 36th minute of play. Herminio Amaya was a little too slow when Mauricio Guter got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 1-2. Clodoveo Tartalo came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by Sarmiento's Nestor Tab. But to his dismay, Nestor Tab quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mauricio Guter was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Florentino Hartz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Clodoveo Tartalo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Everardo Paez in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Clodoveo Tartalo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Clodoveo Tartalo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Everardo Paez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Sarmiento defense, Dalmacio Hernandez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Herminio Amaya. The Sarmiento fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Herminio Amaya should have stopped the shot. In the 72nd minute, Florentino Hartz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Everardo Paez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clodoveo Tartalo having to interfere. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sarmiento's goalkeeper Herminio Amaya, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nestor Tab got free with Clodoveo Tartalo in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Florentino Hartz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Clodoveo Tartalo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carabelas's Clodoveo Tartalo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Carabelas from getting a goal against them. An unexpected shot in the 96th minute by Everardo Paez got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side.
