Elpidio Veto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florentino Hartz in the 3rd minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, Sarmiento's goal looked a bit too open when Artemio Fernendo came free, but Herminio Amaya reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elpidio Veto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Everardo Paez, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 19th minute Artemio Fernendo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Herminio Amaya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artemio Fernendo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Herminio Amaya tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 27 minutes into the game, Astor Gorosti was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo Pelotazo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sarmiento the free kick. In the 32nd minute, Mariano Vedillo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Deportivo Pelotazo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. A well placed Artemio Fernendo short distance shot in the 38th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. 41 minutes into the match, Deportivo Pelotazo's Mariano Vedillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Herminio Amaya narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Herminio Amaya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artemio Fernendo in the 42nd minute of the match. 47 minutes into the match, Sarmiento's goalkeeper Herminio Amaya had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Vedillo. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Vedillo in the 53rd minute of play forced Sarmiento's goalkeeper Herminio Amaya to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 53rd match minute, Sarmiento was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Avellaneda to maneuver through the defense. When Artemio Fernendo came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Deportivo Pelotazo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Artemio Fernendo couldn't finish the play. Deportivo Pelotazo's Mariano Vedillo got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The long shot by Paulo Cesario in the 62nd minute really tested Elpidio Veto's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Herminio Amaya showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artemio Fernendo, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sarmiento's zone, Astor Gorosti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Herminio Amaya came out of the goal and Astor Gorosti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sarmiento's Herminio Amaya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artemio Fernendo in the 85th minute of play. Mariano Vedillo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herminio Amaya having to interfere. Herminio Amaya showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artemio Fernendo in the 90th minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Deportivo Pelotazo had played much better football throughout.
