Osvaldo Abajas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tomas Ospetsu having to interfere. Omar Ireno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardino Nataniel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Atletico Y Progreso's Tomas Ospetsu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Abajas in the 48th minute of play. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bernardino Nataniel to make the kick off. Lorenzo Beltran took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tomas Ospetsu. Tomas Ospetsu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Omar Ireno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardino Nataniel in the 65th minute of play. After 67 minutes of play, Aranguren's Lorenzo Beltran made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tomas Ospetsu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Osvaldo Abajas scored 3-0 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tomas Ospetsu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Godfredo Furman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Omar Ireno having to interfere. If Romulo Inocente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 92nd minute Osvaldo Abajas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomas Ospetsu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Ospetsu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lorenzo Beltran in the 94th minute of the match.
