Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Braulio Franco got the match started through his kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Candelarias's Humberto Pero slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Elias Rodas. That made the score 1-0 after 4 minutes of play. After 8 minutes, Jesus Haimar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tacañitas and the Candelarias players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Tacañitas's Jesus Haimar got a free kick in the 8th minute. Daniel Urtungos short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Elias Rodas to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Tacañitas's Elias Rodas tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 39th minute, Humberto Pero reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Elias Rodas. The goal made the score 3-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Daniel Urtungo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Candelarias's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Urtungo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Humberto Pero was the one to do the kick off. Leonardo Salvadore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Feliu having to interfere. In the 63rdth minute of the game Humberto Pero who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tacañitas's Elias Rodas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Candelarias's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Urtungo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Humberto Pero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Urtungo in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elias Rodas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 73rd minute, Leonel Dolfo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Elias Rodas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Candelarias. Tacañitas's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
