A collision led to Riachuelo AFC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Dionisio Quintin hit a great ball. Barrakas FC's Jimeno Gitano got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hipolito Argi hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Riachuelo AFC's Maximino Gaztea threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Hipolito Argi, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Through an outstanding action, after 29 minutes, Maximino Gaztea successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Dionisio Quintin came free with the goalkeeper in the 30th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Maximino Gaztea could save by the left post. The supporters of Riachuelo AFC booed when Barrakas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bartolo Emeterio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maximino Gaztea was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 89th minute Amancio Eutropio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximino Gaztea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maximino Gaztea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amancio Eutropio in the 91st minute of the match. Maximino Gaztea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amancio Eutropio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
