Armando Danel's late challenge caught a Forres's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. After 26 minutes of play Peperina's Armando Danel was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 26th match minute, Peperina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Danel to maneuver through the defense. 27 minutes into the match, Forres's Saverio Cordario broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Angel Laurin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After having played for 36 minutes, Anibal Tiadoro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peperina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anibal Tiadoro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Aureliano Rodriguez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benigno Isauro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anibal Tiadoro, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rene Rioja in the 47th minute of play forced Peperina's goalkeeper Isaias Firman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anibal Tiadoro to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Godfredo Frantzes in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Isaias Firman saved Peperina from getting behind. Isaias Firman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rene Rioja, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angel Laurin kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Rene Rioja might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Isaias Firman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rene Rioja ran back to his position shaking his head. After 67 played minutes Forres got a freekick which was hit by Omar Satordi. Anibal Tiadoro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Benigno Isauro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Godfredo Frantzes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Godfredo Frantzes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Forres's supporters rose to their feet, but Godfredo Frantzes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The referee gave Forres a penalty, 81 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Saverio Cordario, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Peperina's Isaias Firman. 1-0. After 86 minutes, Agustin Baldovino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Forres and the Peperina players grew even worse after the yellow card. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Forres.
