After a rather tough play, Independiente's Cristo Feliu got a free kick in the 24th minute. 25 minutes into the match, Urbano Velasco sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Venancio Benitez threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Urbano Velasco this time. Tobias Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dionisio Tolino having to interfere. After 78 played minutes Curupaity FC got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Luix. If Luciano Walme had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
