A very good chance for a goal. 17 minutes into the match, Figueroa AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Tancredo came free, but Octavio Indartsu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Octavio Indartsu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delmiro Mikeldi, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Red Bull FC's Jorge Tancredo got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Red Bull FC's Elvio Fidele got a free kick in the 32nd minute. After 40 minutes, Alberto Gotzon mouthed his way into the referee's book. Red Bull FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Delmiro Mikeldi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Octavio Indartsu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Delmiro Mikeldi in the 67th minute. In the 75th match minute, Figueroa AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilberto Iyan to maneuver through the defense. Delmiro Mikeldi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Octavio Indartsu made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Delmiro Mikeldi got free with Octavio Indartsu in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jorge Tancredo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Red Bull FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
