Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jimeno Gregory in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jose Clementi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jeremias Suarez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jose Clementi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jimeno Gregory in the 15th minute of the match. Santo Cebrian acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 20th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Mauro Elivareo. Jimeno Gregory fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jose Clementi having to interfere. Jose Clementi came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Gouin AFC's Isidro Ourente. But to his dismay, Isidro Ourente quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Jose Clementi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jimeno Gregory's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. The audience was convinced that Cleto Pelayo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jose Clementi was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. Cleto Pelayo took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jose Clementi. Jose Clementi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cleto Pelayo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alfonso Manex received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Santo Cebrian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Rosario's Alfonso Manex in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gouin AFC's goalie prevented a goal. If Cleto Pelayo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Santo Cebrian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeremias Suarez in the 68th minute of the match. After 71 minutes, Eduardo Birjaio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gouin AFC and the Rosario players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 72nd minute, Eduardo Birjaio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeremias Suarez in the 74th minute of play forced Gouin AFC's goalkeeper Santo Cebrian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 79 minutes into the match, Rosario's Jeremias Suarez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Santo Cebrian narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 79 played minutes Gouin AFC got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Birjaio. After a defensive mix-up in Rosario's zone, Cleto Pelayo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jose Clementi came out of the goal and Cleto Pelayo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 86 minutes, Cleto Pelayo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gouin AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cleto Pelayo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jimeno Gregory came free with the goalkeeper in the 88th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jose Clementi could save by the left post. After some careless play in the Gouin AFC defense, Alfonso Manex kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Santo Cebrian. The Gouin AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Santo Cebrian should have stopped the shot. Gouin AFC played a much better game than Rosario and deserved their victory. The Rosario players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
