Filomeno Nuno hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. 9 minutes into the match, Pastizales FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas Argina came free, but Hernan Jatsu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dionisio Shepherd sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nereo Gaizkine was out of position in the 13 minute of play, and Efrain Monico capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Efrain Monico really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After a rather tough play, Montserrat's Nicolas Argina got a free kick in the 17th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roberto Betadur got free with Nereo Gaizkine in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nicolas Argina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 27 minutes into the match, Pastizales FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dionisio Shepherd came free, but Hernan Jatsu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicolas Argina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Hernan Jatsu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dionisio Shepherd in the 35th minute of play forced Pastizales FC's goalkeeper Hernan Jatsu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Montserrat's Nicolas Argina in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pastizales FC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 38th minute, Dionisio Shepherd ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hernan Jatsu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Montserrat's Nereo Gaizkine proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Montserrat from getting a goal against them. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The audience was convinced that Roberto Betadur's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nereo Gaizkine was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. Nicolas Argina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Hernan Jatsu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Dionisio Shepherd got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 65 minutes, Modesto Haritzeder mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pastizales FC and the Montserrat players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 64 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Pastizales FC! When Montserrat's Nicolas Argina in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pastizales FC's goalie prevented a goal. Hernan Jatsu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicolas Argina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 73 minutes, Filomeno Nuno mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Montserrat and the Pastizales FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 74th minute of the match Gustavo Gregory shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nereo Gaizkine showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Efrain Monico came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Pastizales FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Efrain Monico couldn't finish the play. In the 77th match minute, Montserrat was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filomeno Nuno to maneuver through the defense. Efrain Monico struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Nereo Gaizkine didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pastizales FC. Pastizales FC's Hernan Jatsu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicolas Argina in the 83rd minute of play. Hernan Jatsu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicolas Argina in the 90th minute of play. Efrain Monico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicolas Argina in the 95th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hernan Jatsu saved Pastizales FC from getting behind. Roberto Betadur recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle sounded Montserrat left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Pastizales FC.
