Spectators: 7135 (Terracing: 5353, Seating: 1641, VIP seats: 141) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Leonel Costante started the match with the kick off. In the 6th minute, Adolfo Tohias ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Samuel Benitez was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 9th match minute, Encrucijada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eriberto Milio to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Ismael Nesor managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chajarí's supporters rose to their feet, but Ismael Nesor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Prudencio Ovando breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adolfo Tohias could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Samuel Benitez made a huge save. 31 minutes into the match, Chajarí's Ismael Nesor sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Prudencio Ovando narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Prudencio Ovando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonel Costante, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Ismael Nesor scored 1-1 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Prudencio Ovando, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabio Txurio in the 45th minute of play forced Chajarí's goalkeeper Samuel Benitez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After 53 minutes, Delmiro Matteo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chajarí and the Encrucijada players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 53rd match minute, Chajarí was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Delmiro Matteo to maneuver through the defense. Fabio Txurio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ismael Nesor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Prudencio Ovando having to interfere. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Leonel Costante kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Prudencio Ovando. That made the score 1-3 in the 71 minute of play. If Fabio Txurio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Prospero Gartzen kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Encrucijada's zone, Ismael Nesor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Prudencio Ovando came out of the goal and Ismael Nesor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Herminio Hodei hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match.
