Spectators: 6667 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1667, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Cristian Teyo got the match started through his kick off. Amancio Betadur's late challenge caught a DanBoy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amancio Betadur helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Rincón's Amancio Betadur got a free kick in the 3rd minute. The supporters of Rincón booed when DanBoy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Epifanio Lico didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 9 minutes, Severiano Berasko managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DanBoy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severiano Berasko was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Eloy Rey came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the DanBoy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eloy Rey couldn't finish the play. In the 18th minute, DanBoy's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Silverio Xabier fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Severiano Berasko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Norberto Fonso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Silverio Xabiers short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Eustaquio Ubelteso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Rincón's Norberto Fonso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severiano Berasko in the 32nd minute of play. Norberto Fonso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severiano Berasko, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Norberto Fonso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eloy Rey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Rincón's zone, Eloy Rey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Norberto Fonso came out of the goal and Eloy Rey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 42nd minute, Epifanio Lico got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Norberto Fonso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eloy Rey's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. In the 47th minute Severiano Berasko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norberto Fonso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Severiano Berasko to make the kick off. In the 63rd minute Silverio Xabier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eustaquio Ubelteso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 65 minutes, Silverio Xabier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rincón's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silverio Xabier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 91st minute, DanBoy's Eloy Rey ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Norberto Fonso. Norberto Fonso yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. The DanBoy players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
