The referee ignored Carnerillo FC's protests and gave Prudencio Cebo a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Chivilcoy FC booed when Carnerillo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Prudencio Cebo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rdth minute of the game Vicente Irrintzi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Chivilcoy FC's Damaso Garikoitz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gilberto Padro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 39 minutes of play, Chivilcoy FC's Lucio Endura made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rafael Urtungo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Roberto Bertin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Damaso Garikoitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gilberto Padro was the one to do the kick off. Prudencio Cebo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Damaso Garikoitz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. If Teodoro Salvator had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Carnerillo FC's Teodoro Salvator in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chivilcoy FC's goalie prevented a goal. Prudencio Cebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Arturo Columbo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The long shot by Pascual Felipo in the 58th minute really tested Damaso Garikoitz's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Bertin in the 59th minute of play forced Chivilcoy FC's goalkeeper Damaso Garikoitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Faustino Fernado charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Faustino Fernado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 68th play minute Vicente Irrintzi came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Damaso Garikoitz. 1-2. Roberto Bertin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vicente Irrintzi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Damaso Garikoitz having to make a save. Roberto Bertin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Damaso Garikoitz came out and tried to block the shot, but Roberto Bertin slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 76th minute. Vicente Irrintzi struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Damaso Garikoitz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carnerillo FC. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roberto Bertin in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Damaso Garikoitz saved Chivilcoy FC from getting behind. Damaso Garikoitz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vicente Irrintzi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Damaso Garikoitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carnerillo FC played a much better game than Chivilcoy FC and deserved their victory. The Chivilcoy FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
