Zeledon Francesco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesar Frederico, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ciudadela Sur's goalkeeper Zeledon Francesco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, ASD Team Nuova Florida's Elvio Urti got a free kick in the 9th minute. Juan Marques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Bernardo Felipillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Ciudadela Sur defense, Eugenio Magdaleno kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zeledon Francesco. The Ciudadela Sur fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zeledon Francesco should have stopped the shot. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Ciudadela Sur's goalkeeper Zeledon Francesco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Cesar Frederico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zeledon Francesco having to interfere. If Cesar Frederico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cesar Frederico might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zeledon Francesco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cesar Frederico ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Ciudadela Sur getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Esteban Ibar hit a great ball. 39 minutes into the match, Cesar Frederico had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zeledon Francesco. Ciudadela Sur's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cesar Frederico was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 42nd minute, Eugenio Magdaleno made a precise shot to the right of Zeledon Francesco. Ciudadela Sur's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. After the first half ASD Team Nuova Florida were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eugenio Magdaleno stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Victor Galtero fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ciudadela Sur's protests and gave Victor Galtero a yellow card for diving instead. When ASD Team Nuova Florida's Eugenio Magdaleno in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ciudadela Sur's goalie prevented a goal. Zeledon Francesco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cesar Frederico's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. Alfredo Mambru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. If Cesar Frederico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Cesar Frederico came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the ASD Team Nuova Florida fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cesar Frederico couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cesar Frederico got free with Zeledon Francesco in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leopoldo Darien struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Zeledon Francesco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ASD Team Nuova Florida. Cesar Frederico recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eugenio Magdaleno was extremely unlucky when he, in the 91st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Cesar Frederico struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Zeledon Francesco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ASD Team Nuova Florida. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eugenio Magdaleno in the 98th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zeledon Francesco saved Ciudadela Sur from getting behind. The Ciudadela Sur fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. ASD Team Nuova Florida were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
