Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 143) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Herminio Firmin took the kick off in the first half of the match. Federico Lorencio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Isidro Errapel having to interfere. Celso Enaut recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 12th minute, Federico Lorencio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Federico Lorencio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Isidro Errapel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ceibal's Federico Lorencio got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Isidro Errapel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Enaut in the 33rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Jáuregui's zone, Celso Enaut stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isidro Errapel came out of the goal and Celso Enaut tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Celso Enaut sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Isidro Errapel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Federico Lorencio in the 37th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Federico Lorencio was the one to do the kick off. Benicio Belo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maximo Ederono's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pedro Vitin during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ceibal booed when Jáuregui was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Israel Elequemedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71st minute, Celso Enaut got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jáuregui's Isidro Errapel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Federico Lorencio in the 73rd minute of play. If Herminio Firmin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Federico Lorencio got in the 89th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Isidro Errapel handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Celso Enaut sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Federico Lorencio came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Ceibal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Federico Lorencio couldn't finish the play. Ceibal's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
