The supporters of Correntoso FC booed when Alumbrera AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reynaldo Tome didn't get a good kick on the ball. 7 minutes into the match, Correntoso FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Quintyn came free, but Inocencio Faro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reynaldo Tome came free with the goalkeeper in the 9th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Inocencio Faro could save by the left post. In the 9th minute, Genaro Diegotxe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Correntoso FC's Inocencio Faro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Quintyn in the 13th minute of play. Genaro Diegotxe kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Reynaldo Tome's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Inocencio Faro was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Correntoso FC's Inocencio Faro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Quintyn in the 24th minute of play. Alumbrera AFC's Reynaldo Tome got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Inocencio Faro didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 40th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Reynaldo Tome got free with Inocencio Faro in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Genaro Diegotxe's late challenge caught a Alumbrera AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Genaro Diegotxe helped the player get up and apologised. In the 48th minute, Genaro Diegotxe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Inocencio Faro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Quintyn in the 49th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Genaro Diegotxe made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Correntoso FC's zone, Reynaldo Tome stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Inocencio Faro came out of the goal and Reynaldo Tome tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Correntoso FC's Fabio Raymond got a free kick in the 54th minute. When Eliseo Quintyn came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Alumbrera AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Quintyn couldn't finish the play. After 61 minutes of play, Alumbrera AFC's Eliseo Quintyn made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Inocencio Faro was left in no man's land by his defense there! Inocencio Faro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Tome in the 65th minute of play. Inocencio Faro came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Alumbrera AFC's Jimeno Urki. But to his dismay, Jimeno Urki quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Reynaldo Tome might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Inocencio Faro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Reynaldo Tome ran back to his position shaking his head. Inocencio Faro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Quintyn in the 77th minute of the match. Alumbrera AFC's Reynaldo Tome got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Inocencio Faro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Quintyn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute, Reynaldo Tome got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
