Spectators: 6673 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 0) In the 3rd minute Niceto Bermund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Cresitobalo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Pedro Gaitano came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Chilecito fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Gaitano couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Chilecito booed when Tacuaruzú FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Siro Fonso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tacuaruzú FC's Nestor Oihan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Gaitano in the 8th minute of play. Siro Fonso hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Nestor Oihan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Gaitano's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. After 11 minutes, Pedro Gaitano made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Tacuaruzú FC's Nestor Oihan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Denis Cresitobalo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Genaro Peruxu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Chilecito's Wilfredo Montel got a free kick in the 15th minute. The supporters of Tacuaruzú FC booed when Chilecito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilfredo Montel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cirilo Cidro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Denis Cresitobalo. Chilecito's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 28th minute, Genaro Peruxu made a precise shot to the right of Denis Cresitobalo. Chilecito's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After having played for 40 minutes, Genaro Peruxu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tacuaruzú FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Genaro Peruxu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Honorio Martxot fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chilecito's protests and gave Honorio Martxot a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Chilecito's Honorio Martxot got a free kick in the 48th minute. In the 49th minute, Cirilo Cidro sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Chilecito's Denis Cresitobalo didn't even have to move. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

After 55 minutes, Clemente Urbasa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chilecito and the Tacuaruzú FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 56th match minute, Chilecito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clemente Urbasa to maneuver through the defense. Genaro Peruxu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Niceto Bermund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denis Cresitobalo having to interfere. Chilecito's Wilfredo Montel got his second yellow card of the match in the 61st minute. The referee ordered Wilfredo Montel off the ground. A collision led to Chilecito getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Wilfredo Montel hit a great ball. 62 minutes into the match, Tacuaruzú FC's Cirilo Cidro broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 64th minute, Ruben Pirro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Tacuaruzú FC's zone, Serafin Suarez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nestor Oihan came out of the goal and Serafin Suarez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A long shot from Genaro Ihintza in the 70th minute of play was well struck, but Denis Cresitobalo made a really good save at the right post. Vinicio Bermudo hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Serafin Suarez in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nestor Oihan saved Tacuaruzú FC from getting behind. A hard shot 82 in the game by Niceto Bermund from a close distance when the talented Denis Cresitobalo managed to make a qualified save. Chilecito's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Genaro Peruxu in the 85th minute of play forced Chilecito's goalkeeper Denis Cresitobalo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Niceto Bermund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tacuaruzú FC's Niceto Bermund got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tacuaruzú FC's Genaro Peruxu got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Niceto Bermund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denis Cresitobalo having to interfere. 97 minutes into the match, Chilecito's goal looked a bit too open when Genaro Peruxu came free, but Denis Cresitobalo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 99 minutes Chilecito's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cirilo Cidro who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Cirilo Cidro got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Denis Cresitobalo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
