Carmelo Beat came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by Zelaya's Lázaro Torres. But to his dismay, Lázaro Torres quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Benicio Rico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Gaspar Maureo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zelaya's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaspar Maureo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carmelo Beat breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Tobias Urki came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Franck fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tobias Urki couldn't finish the play. 28 minutes into the game, Federico Azevedo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zelaya's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Franck the free kick. Benicio Rico ran back to his position shaking his head. Benicio Rico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florentino Mazuste having to interfere.

The wind increased when Tobias Urki made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Zelaya's goal looked a bit too open when Tobias Urki came free, but Florentino Mazuste reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tobias Urki in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Florentino Mazuste saved Zelaya from getting behind. Benicio Rico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Florentino Mazuste tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benicio Rico in the 59th minute of play forced Zelaya's goalkeeper Florentino Mazuste to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ariel Orland hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Benicio Rico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. In the 88th minute Tobias Urki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florentino Mazuste saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Zelaya eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
