In the 11th minute, Melchor Rodas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cornelio Belasko was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Cornelio Belasko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serafin Fiz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Serafin Fiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cornelio Belasko having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ave Fenix's Ramon Orlan got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Cesar Perpinya hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. When Honorato Intxixu fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ave Fenix's protests and gave Honorato Intxixu a yellow card for diving instead. 36 minutes into the match, Danilo Steven notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Ave Fenix's Cornelio Belasko. Cornelio Belasko was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Serafin Fiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cornelio Belasko having to interfere. Cornelio Belasko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serafin Fiz in the 42nd minute of play. Serafin Fiz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Danilo Steven received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Cornelio Belasko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Melchor Abaurre to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Argüello AFC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Pastor Mitxel hit a great ball. After 54 played minutes Ave Fenix got a freekick which was hit by Nicasio Hustaz. Serafin Fiz struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Cornelio Belasko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Argüello AFC. Ave Fenix's Cornelio Belasko proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Ave Fenix from getting a goal against them. Gaudencio Loi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ave Fenix's Cornelio Belasko played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serafin Fiz in the 93rd minute of play. Melchor Abaurre kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Cornelio Belasko made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serafin Fiz in the 96th minute of play. Argüello AFC played a much better game than Ave Fenix and deserved their victory. The Ave Fenix players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
