The supporters of Gimnasia booed when Cruz de Brasil F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amador Gai didn't get a good kick on the ball. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Gimnasia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristo Azeari was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. After a rather tough play, Cruz de Brasil F.C's Dario Demario got a free kick in the 76th minute. Mario Salomon could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Jesus Bernard made a huge save. Jesus Bernard made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Mario Salomon sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mario Salomon got free with Jesus Bernard in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Cruz de Brasil F.C's Jesus Bernard got control of the ball when Mario Salomon tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mario Salomon succeeded in the game's 91st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-6. Urbano Quilino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jesus Bernard having to interfere.
