The crowd rose to their feet as Zeledon Barea kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Camilo Sugar. That made the score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. Paulo Tonete hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Deportivo Macondo's Camilo Sugar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeledon Barea in the 8th minute of play. Claudio Hanot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 25 played minutes Tolosa got a freekick which was hit by Rene Saturnin. In the 26th minute Justo Rik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernardino Lordi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Camilo Sugar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeledon Barea, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Claudio Hanot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Camilo Sugar having to interfere. Zeledon Barea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Claudio Hanot's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 37thth minute, Camilo Sugar skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Claudio Hanot struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Camilo Sugar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tolosa. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zeledon Barea in the 45th minute of play forced Deportivo Macondo's goalkeeper Camilo Sugar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Faustino Lobo was the one to do the kick off. Deportivo Macondo's Ermegildo Ipar pulled a muscle in his back after 58 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 58 minutes, Fermin Odilon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tolosa and the Deportivo Macondo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 59 played minutes Tolosa got a freekick which was hit by Fermin Odilon. Eugenio Machado was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 60th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 62nd minute, Claudio Hanot ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Camilo Sugar was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Zeledon Barea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th minute, Claudio Hanot got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Zeledon Barea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Camilo Sugar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Ubaldo Galsino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 76 played minutes, Tolosa's Feliciano Remicio shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Camilo Sugar came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tolosa reached it. 78 minutes into the match, Tolosa's Claudio Hanot sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Camilo Sugar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Deportivo Macondo's Camilo Sugar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeledon Barea in the 79th minute of play. If Justo Rik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tolosa's Fermin Odilon got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tolosa's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
