After a defensive mix-up in Olain's zone, Virgilio Cresenciano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gerardo Aurre came out of the goal and Virgilio Cresenciano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee showed Gerardo Bemabe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Saavedra AFC booed when Olain was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Olain had won after a very even match.
