Madariaga's Joel Eron got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Glorioso Instituto getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Jose Abreu hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Joel Eron managed to get in a good position for a shot. Madariaga's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Eron was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victorio Perfecto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Glorioso Instituto's zone, Severino Deunoro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Victorio Perfecto came out of the goal and Severino Deunoro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Severino Deunoro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the match, Joel Eron notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Glorioso Instituto's Victorio Perfecto. Victorio Perfecto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Baltasar Serafo in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Victorio Perfecto saved Glorioso Instituto from getting behind. If Joel Eron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 38 minutes into the match, Glorioso Instituto's goal looked a bit too open when Severino Deunoro came free, but Victorio Perfecto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th minute Severino Deunoro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victorio Perfecto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Glorioso Instituto players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Madariaga were winning 0-2.

Glorioso Instituto's Victorio Perfecto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Eron in the 55th minute of play. German Atarrabi kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After 59 played minutes, Glorioso Instituto's Domingo Cloyo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Flavio Monico came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Glorioso Instituto reached it. Victorio Perfecto was out of position in the 66 minute of play, and Joel Eron capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Joel Eron really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. 69 minutes into the game, Ladislao Eguntsenti cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Flavio Monico was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sixto Fernandes kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Joel Eron's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Victorio Perfecto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. Victorio Perfecto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Severino Deunoro in the 86th minute. Glorioso Instituto's Victorio Perfecto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Eron in the 87th minute of play. If Severino Deunoro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Madariaga could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Glorioso Instituto throughout the match.
