The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Aquiles Pello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. The referee showed Marcial Urki the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Mendoza AFC's Marcial Urki got a free kick in the 11th minute. Aquiles Pello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodoro Seme having to interfere. Marcelino Rito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. The supporters of Mendoza AFC booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enrique Donostia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute, Aquiles Pello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Marcelino Rito came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Uruguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marcelino Rito couldn't finish the play. Teodoro Seme didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marcelino Rito went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcial Urki made a kick off. Enrique Donostia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Teodoro Seme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aquiles Pello in the 66th minute of the match. After 73 minutes, Carolo Deunoro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mendoza AFC and the Uruguay players grew even worse after the yellow card. 72 minutes into the game, one of Mendoza AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Edgard Illart kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Aquiles Pello took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Teodoro Seme. Teodoro Seme dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Mendoza AFC's goalkeeper Teodoro Seme, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 93rd match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enrique Donostia to maneuver through the defense. In the 96thth minute of the game Aquiles Pello who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mendoza AFC's Teodoro Seme was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Uruguay fully deserved thier win.
