Ramon Xacintu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Leon Mark tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leon Mark took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramon Xacintu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gualeguay FC's Leon Mark played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramon Xacintu in the 41st minute of play. If Bonifacio Senen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Castelar FC's Ramon Xacintu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Leon Mark. That made the score 1-1 after 47 minutes of play. When Ubaldo Bittor fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gualeguay FC's protests and gave Ubaldo Bittor a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Gualeguay FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Ubaldo Bittor hit a great ball. Ramon Xacintu might have been able to make a better finish in the 66th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leon Mark. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ramon Xacintu ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramon Xacintu in the 69th minute of play forced Gualeguay FC's goalkeeper Leon Mark to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cosme Mikeldi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leon Mark having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ramon Xacintu in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leon Mark saved Gualeguay FC from getting behind. Andres Polo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Epifanio Iyan in the 82nd minute. Epifanio Iyan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Andres Polo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Ramon Xacintu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
