Medanito's Bonifacio Pueblo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francisco Victoro in the 16th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 17th minute of the game. One of Medanito:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Vertientes AFC:s goal. When Arturo Guifre fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vertientes AFC's protests and gave Arturo Guifre a yellow card for diving instead. In the 24th match minute, Vertientes AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arturo Guifre to maneuver through the defense. Blas Osmundo might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cecilio Fernandes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Blas Osmundo ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Vertientes AFC's zone, Blas Osmundo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cecilio Fernandes came out of the goal and Blas Osmundo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Medanito's Bonifacio Pueblo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardo Leizarraga in the 31st minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Francisco Victoro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bonifacio Pueblo was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Bernardo Leizarraga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Bonifacio Pueblo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Delmiro Porfiro couldn't finish the play. After the first half Vertientes AFC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bernardo Leizarraga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Bernardo Leizarraga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vertientes AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernardo Leizarraga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bonifacio Pueblo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bonifacio Pueblo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Victoro in the 55th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Medanito defense, Francisco Victoro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bonifacio Pueblo. The Medanito fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bonifacio Pueblo should have stopped the shot. Cristobal Lain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cecilio Fernandes having to interfere. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 68th minute of the game. In the 71st minute, Vertientes AFC got a penalty, and Godfredo Tolino placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. The supporters of Vertientes AFC booed when Medanito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristobal Lain didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot by Godfredo Tolino from long distance, 75 minutes into the match, got Bonifacio Pueblo's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Bonifacio Pueblo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardo Leizarraga in the 77th minute of play. Francisco Victoro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Bonifacio Pueblo made a huge save. After having played for 79 minutes, Blas Osmundo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Medanito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Blas Osmundo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 82 minutes into the match, Medanito's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardo Leizarraga came free, but Bonifacio Pueblo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernardo Leizarraga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Bonifacio Pueblo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernardo Leizarraga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Blas Osmundo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernardo Leizarraga in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bonifacio Pueblo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Blas Osmundo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded Vertientes AFC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Medanito.
