When Everardo Cordarrell came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Los del Mar FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Everardo Cordarrell couldn't finish the play. After having played for 38 minutes, Everardo Cordarrell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los del Mar FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Everardo Cordarrell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

After a defensive mix-up in Los del Mar FC's zone, Mario Ignazio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodrigo Oliverio came out of the goal and Mario Ignazio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Through a series of nice moves, Trilí's Mario Ignazio on his own came free in the 64th minute of the match and shot 1-1 behind a disappointed Rodrigo Oliverio. Mario Ignazio came free in the 70th minute and tried to tip the ball over Rodrigo Oliverio, but to the joy of Los del Mar FC's supporters the ball went over. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
