Spectators: 6673 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hermengildo Vargas started the match with the kick off. 4 minutes into the match, ALUMNI AZULEÑO's goal looked a bit too open when Raimundo Damario came free, but Basilio Basualdo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Conrado Petri's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Basilio Basualdo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Damario in the 10th minute of play forced ALUMNI AZULEÑO's goalkeeper Basilio Basualdo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Omar Macerio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Raimundo Damario scored 0-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Basilio Basualdo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Arboledas booed when ALUMNI AZULEÑO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carolo Eneas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Raimundo Damario managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arboledas's supporters rose to their feet, but Raimundo Damario was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Basilio Basualdo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. ALUMNI AZULEÑO's Basilio Basualdo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Conrado Petri in the 26th minute of play. In the 32nd minute, ALUMNI AZULEÑO's Carolo Eneas dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Omar Macerio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Maximino Irrintzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in ALUMNI AZULEÑO's zone, Conrado Petri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Basilio Basualdo came out of the goal and Conrado Petri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Basilio Basualdo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conrado Petri in the 39th minute of the match. Conrado Petri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Basilio Basualdo having to interfere. Virgilio Formerio's late challenge caught a Arboledas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Virgilio Formerio helped the player get up and apologised. Silvestre Urko walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Generoso Harri kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. In the 49th minute Conrado Petri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basilio Basualdo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Conrado Petri was the one to do the kick off. Conrado Petri in the 56thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal.
