Ciriaco Frechoso hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Gilberto Txatxu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Armando Eusko showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. Lázaro Claus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Abancens having to interfere. After having played for 19 minutes, Armando Izotz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pepino FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armando Izotz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Armando Eusko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Txatxu having to interfere. Puyel FC's Gilberto Txatxu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Puyel FC from getting a goal against them. In the 26th minute, Pepino FC's Armando Eusko ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gilberto Txatxu. Gilberto Txatxu yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. If Armando Eusko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Saturnino Elodio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Pepino FC's zone, Saturnino Elodio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alfredo Abancens came out of the goal and Saturnino Elodio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lázaro Claus to strike the kick off in the second half. When Armando Eusko came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Pepino FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armando Eusko couldn't finish the play. Armando Izotz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Txatxu having to interfere. Armando Eusko recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gilberto Txatxu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando Izotz in the 61st minute of play. The supporters of Pepino FC booed when Puyel FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ermegildo Cuartio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Puyel FC's zone, Armando Izotz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilberto Txatxu came out of the goal and Armando Izotz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 72nd minute, Puyel FC's Lázaro Claus dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. The Pepino FC fans' excitement grew in the 79th match minute when Pepino FC's Armando Eusko looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Saturnino Elodio made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 84thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Alfredo Abancens would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Gilberto Txatxu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Armando Eusko, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Armando Izotz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Gilberto Txatxu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Pepino FC had won after a very even match.
